Remodeling an Outdated Master Bathroom

Remodeling a Bathroom
"We bought the house five years ago, and the bathroom hadn't been updated since it was built in the mid-sixties. It needed a remodel badly," says Russ Heskett.
"It really was a mess," his wife Marsha explains. "The previous owner must have painted as a hobby, because every imaginable color of paint was stained and splattered on the old shower floor."
The Hesketts chose DreamMaker after seeing some of the work the company had done in other homes around the neighborhood. When Owner Steve Betts took the couple to see a few DreamMaker bathroom remodels, they were impressed that most of the clients had hired the company to return to their homes for additional remodeling projects.
"We really enjoyed working with Steve," Russ says. "He wasn't the high pressure type - just very calm, knowledgeable and professional. He and my wife did most of the planning and it was great how he incorporated all of her ideas."
The full glass shower enclosure was one of Marsha's ideas, and now, one of her favorite features of the completed remodel. She also provided pieces of inspiration - an antique French armoire and vanity - to help guide the decor decisions. DreamMaker built an extra custom cabinet and made sure to match it with Marsha's antique pieces.
The remodel took seven weeks and also included new ceramic tile woodlook planks, traditional subway tile in the shower, a large rainfall and handheld showerhead, and his and her pedestal sinks.
"It was a radical change," Marsha says, "and that's the best part. We love it! It's so clean and refreshing now." The Hesketts praise the DreamMaker team for being so accommodating and reliable.
"I'm telling you, every person on that team was a person of integrity. They always kept their word, and when they said they were going to show up, they did. We would recommend them to anybody and everybody, and we would love to have them do work in our home again," Marsha says.
